New Xbox 360
So I recently purchased one of the new slimmer xbox 360s. I had owned an old one in the past but sold it due to boredom, however with the release of Halo Reach coming out soon I decided to pick up another one.
So what are my first thoughts? Well it is definitely quieter like they claim. You can hardly tell it's turned on it's that quiet. Another plus is the lack of "buttons". All of the buttons were upgraded to touch sensors like most tvs these days. At first it was a pain when I was trying to plug in everything as I kept accidentally hitting the eject button, but that was my own fault.
All the new features on xbox live are also great. The last time I played was a year and a half ago, and now I see they've got facebook, and the ability to rent HD movies. It really turns the console into a whole social and media center.
Overall I'm quite impressed with it, and the consoles these days are rather inexpensive compared to two to three years ago. I would definitely recommend you go out and buy one if you are into games and don't already have on, even if you are a ps3 type of person just pick it up for the xbox exclusive, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Hm, might consider getting one... Reading that seriously makes me want to just upgrade my old one... Unless I can earn 7K and get the Big O (computer w/ x360 built in). Fat chance of that though. :P
ReplyDeletehaha yea, but you'd end up paying way more than it's worth like that. I mean new xbox is only like 300$, and a really good pc is like 2,000$.
ReplyDeleteSoo much cheaper than getting that big thing.
I've definitely considered getting an XBOX, but I'm just not sure if the games are good enough to warrant the cost.
ReplyDeleteHad a PS3 sold it, might get one of these.
ReplyDeletetechnological obsolescence in its finest bro
ReplyDeleteit's kinda sexy with that hip to waist ratio :D
ReplyDeleteLooks nice
ReplyDeleteI kinda like the design, but that's it. Not going to buy this one. A lot of games are disappointing lately. Games are getting worse and worse, I'd rather play oldskool games.
ReplyDeletehow cool!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely looking to pick one of these up as well, if it truely is quieter that's a HUGE plus.
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a PS3 person.
ReplyDeletewhat a good morning read!

Haha, i wish they had the consoles with built in 802.11n when i bought mine instead of having to buy that pain $100 wireless adapter.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait neither for the release of Halo reach! I'll come back soon for more.
ReplyDeleteI won't be getting one :P

ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty tasty...
ReplyDeleteIt's so shiny.
ReplyDeletejust the quiet factor alone would be enough to upgrade. the old ones sound like a jet taking off when the fan spins up. makes streaming netflix movies sucky because you need the volume on warp 10. good buy!
